Malcolm
Malcolm has always loved drawing and Painting from a very early age, this was developed during Secondary school. When he left school in 1976 it was with several CSE’s and O levels including both Art and Biology.
His first job was working as an Animal Keeper at Bristol Zoo, where he gained much experience and insight into many of the Animals, characteristics, habits and behaviour.
He did many sketches and drawings and took lots of photographs when he had the opportunities. He also travels around the UK and Europe visiting Zoos and private collections.
It was while working at the Zoo in the 1970’s and 80’s that he had many of his drawings published in the magazine for “Association of British Wild Animal Keepers”.
Malcolm took a course at Filton College, Bristol in the late 1990’s and achieved an A level qualification. He then went on to do several OCN & advanced painting courses at the Bristol School of Art, next to the RWA, where he started exhibiting some of his paintings at Queens road, Bristol.
He has exhibited his work at different venues in the south west since 2006.
Since moving to Burnham on Sea, Somerset during 2007 he has painted a lot more landscapes, the Lighthouses and the beach. Getting a lot of inspiration from the coast and countryside is seen in more recent work.
His Original paintings are for sale and they range in sizes and styles, many of Animals, some of the more popular ones or pieces Sold have had a Limited Edition run of 150 Prints.
Also available are greetings cards and Calendars.
